The Management of University of Calabar has announced a change in its mode of admission screening process for the 2024/2025 academic session to alleviate the challenges faced by candidates seeking admission.
In a statement issued by the Registrar and Secretary of the University’s Governing Council, Mr. Gabriel O. Egbe, it was revealed that the University has decided to cancel the 2024/2025 Post-UTME screening exercise. This decision was made after considering factors such as the high cost of transportation due to fuel scarcity, accommodation issues, logistical challenges, and the overall security situation in the country.
Candidates who selected the University of Calabar as their first choice and have registered online for the 2024 Post-UTME screening are advised to visit the nearest JAMB-CBT center to upload their O’level results. The University will evaluate all candidates based on their O’level grades using a point tally system for admission purposes.
In light of this, the University has extended the Post-UTME registration period by one week. Candidates who have not yet registered are encouraged to take advantage of this extension, as there will be no further extension after the August 31st deadline.
